The stork couple of Langenthal had set up home in a nest above the antennas on an existing 35-metre-high transmitter mast.
As this is somewhat harmful to the technology, a solution was sought in consultation with the gamekeeper responsible for the birds.
So the storks can stay in the same location, a purpose-built steel cage was integrated at the end of the existing antenna mast.
The entire existing nest was carefully dismantled ahead of the installation and was then moved carefully into the cage.
Once the storks returned from their winter quarters, they successfully completed the move back into their home in its new location.
