Waterproofing parking garage: curtain injection in the groundwater area

The renovation of a large parking garage is currently being implemented and should be completed by June 2024. The focus is on sealing the U2 floor slab, which is located in the groundwater area. Before the main work began, targeted preparations were carried out using single-component polyurethane foam. These provide initial stabilization and create the basis for the subsequent injection technique.

Sealing with acrylic hydrogel over 2000 drill holes

The core of the renovation is the curtain injection with a low-viscosity acrylic-based hydrogel. The material was injected via around 2000 drill holes. A total of six tons of hydrogel were used to achieve a flexible sealing over a large area. The method is particularly suitable for groundwater areas, as it does not require massive intervention and has a targeted effect.

Goal: permanent protection and functional operation

Veil injection offers a sustainable solution for waterproofing existing buildings. It improves the functionality of the parking garage and provides permanent protection against water ingress. The hall remains largely usable during the work and meets the technical requirements for impermeability and safety of use once the renovation is complete.
