Sustainable transformation: a house for the future in Zollikofen

In the picturesque landscape of Zollikofen, a traditional house has been extensively renovated to combine modern living with sustainable solutions. This project demonstrates how well thought-out renovations can make buildings fit for the future.

In a recent renovation project in Zollikofen, an existing residential building was thoroughly modernized to meet the requirements for energy efficiency and living comfort. At the heart of the renovation is a powerful 12 kWp photovoltaic system consisting of 50 TeraSlate L and 5 TeraSlate M modules, supported by a Fronius Symo Gen24 inverter. This innovative solution enables environmentally friendly power generation and helps to reduce energy costs.

In addition, the heating system was optimized by installing a MÜBA air-to-water heat pump with buffer tank. This technology ensures efficient and sustainable heating of the house. The newly renovated roof is fitted with 140 mm mineral wool panels for intermediate insulation, which significantly improves the thermal efficiency of the building.

The exterior appearance of the house was also upgraded: The façade shines in new splendor, while the balconies were fitted with modern picket railings and liquid foil waterproofing. In addition, the main electrical distribution board was modernized to meet current safety standards.

This renovation project illustrates how the use of sustainable technologies and careful planning can create living spaces that are both comfortable and harmoniously integrated into the idyllic surroundings of Zollikofen.
