REHAB Basel faced a challenging task in 2025: the refurbishment of heavily used corridor areas while the clinic continued to operate. We took on the complete implementation - from planning and staging to the finished floor coating. In total, we renewed 2,000 m² of rubber surface - directly on the existing flooring and without restricting the use of the areas.
Efficient implementation in a sensitive environment
The work was carried out exclusively during ongoing operations - predominantly in heavily frequented traffic areas. To minimize disruption, we divided the project into four stages of 500 m² each. Our two-person team worked on each section, with clearly defined processes and on-time execution.
1. preparation of the substrate
We thoroughly cleaned the existing rubber surfaces and prepared all transitions, edge areas and connections so that the new layer would adhere permanently and could be integrated seamlessly.
2. application of the system
A hard-wearing rubber system based on natural raw materials was used. The standard color installation ensures a functional, calm appearance. The material is elastic, hygienic and particularly easy to clean - ideal for use in the healthcare sector.
3. working in section mode
Each stage was planned in such a way that the affected areas could be used again immediately after completion. Thanks to our precise coordination and experience, the implementation went smoothly - without any interruption to operations.
