Cooperation for the future - Mannenberg water reservoir

The current Mannenberg water reservoir has been supplying around 250,000 people in the Bern region for a century. In order to ensure a reliable water supply, the highest quality standards and sufficient quantities in the future, a new water reservoir is being built in the immediate vicinity of the existing one. Two companies from the Weiss+Appetito Group are involved in the realization of this construction project.

Focus on expertise: Josef Muff AG in pipeline construction

JMAG is contributing its extensive experience in pipeline construction to the project. With precision and expertise, they are laying a total of 936 meters of DN600, DN700 and DN1000 pipelines. These steel pipelines are characterized by their cemented inner coating and an outer protective layer. The combination of PE coating and fiber cement guarantees not only insulation, but also robust mechanical resistance.

Pegrila: Specialists for concrete and flooring systems

Pegrila is responsible for creating a flawless reservoir floor for this project. The concrete is leveled to the exact desired height using state-of-the-art, laser-based levelling equipment (Somero). The concrete is then taloshed and a special hard aggregate is incorporated to ensure a flawless, non-porous surface. Finally, the use of a ride-on trowel ensures the perfect smoothness and quality of the surface.

Many thanks to WVRB for the good cooperation. We are proud to be a part of this project and to contribute to a safe water supply for future generations!
